The Dominican Republic Teacher Certification Initiative is GEEC's flagship international project. There is a major shortage of trained special education teachers in the Dominican Republic. Many classrooms lack autism strategies, instructional adaptations, and behavioral supports. GEEC provides structured certification pathways including teacher assistant training, Level 2 teacher training, autism strategies, classroom design, and ongoing coaching for sustainability.
